Estaba borracha llamándole a mi ex la noche en la que lo conocí.

Uno ochenta centímetros, sexy como el pecado y tan increíblemente grosero que podría quitarle la sonrisa de idiota directamente de su cara. Para resumir, tuvimos un mal comienzo. Pero cuando los tabloides interpretan nuestro combate como Drew Maddox "arrastrándose" con una "morena misteriosa", su agente nos presenta una propuesta:

Vivir como pareja este verano.

Es un supuesto “ganar-ganar”. Necesito probarle a mi ex que estoy bien. Drew necesita probarle a su equipo que es alguien estable. Gracias a sus peleas en el campo y los interminables dramas con las chicas, Drew Maddox ha encontrado de pronto en el bloque para ser intercambiado, lo que significa que necesita una manera rápida y fácil de mostrarle al equipo que se ha asentado.

Por lo tanto esta cosa de los prometidos.

Nuestras peleas son reales, nuestros besos son falsos y gracias al calor imparable entre nosotros, estoy empezando a mezclar todas mis señales. Pero ya sea real o falso, hay una cosa que sé:

“-When was the last time you came more than once in a night?

-If you must know, I literally can’t even think of my answer.

-Too long to recall?

-Yes! Maybe! Who cares? Why do you need to know?

-Because the idea of you not being properly fucked is driving me crazy right now.”

Obviously, as a good fan of baseball and hot stories, I could not do anything but want to read this story and it did not disappoint me at all.

The protagonists are Evie and Drew, both have the ability to complement each other from the moment they meet. Evie is depressed because her long-term boyfriend ended her and Drew is at a troubled moment in his career when his team wants to exchange him for not controlling his anger.

The night they know Evie is drunk leaving voice messages to her ex telling her how much she misses him and Drew hears her and tells her how pathetic it sounds and they start to argue, Evie leaves but he follows her to the stairs and ends up kissing her neck, all this resulted in the  next day in the newspapers it told the news that they are linked as a couple and his manager / best friend thinks that this is a great opportunity for the managers of his team to see that Drew has changed.

This suits both Drew and Evie, Drew away the thoughts of their managers of wanting to change it and Evie would live in the city helping to improve their career and forget their ex.

The problem comes when the former reappears and she has to be convincingly in love with Drew and, between kisses, they begin to erase the lines of a contract and give free rein to their passions.

ABOUT THE BOOK

This story in addition to being super-hot (my ovaries exploded several times) talks about trust, how it is so fragile and not everyone has the ability to maintain it.

For her part, Evie is betrayed for her longtime boyfriend by leaving her when they were about to move to a better apartment, but that does not stop her from believing in people, instead Drew does not trust in her shadow because she has been hurt several times by many people.

So when these two come together as a team to get everything afloat, they realize that only by having confidence can they overcome everything.

A very good book that I could not release until I finished it, I give it 4.5 hot stars and highly recommended for all those who like books where you have to pretend to be a couple and the hot scenes 😉

RESEÑA EN ESPAÑOL

“- ¿Cuándo fue la última vez que te viniste más de una vez en una noche?

-Si debes saberlo, literalmente no puedo pensar en mi respuesta.

- ¿Tanto como para recordar?

- ¡Sí! ¡Tal vez! ¿A quién le importa? ¿Para qué quieres saber?

-Porque la idea de que no te hayan follado correctamente me esta volviendo loco ahora mismo.”

Obviamente como buena fan del béisbol y de las historias candentes, no pude hacer otra cosa que querer leer esta historia y no me defraudó en absoluto.

Los protagonistas son Evie y Drew, ambos tienen la capacidad de complementarse mutuamente desde el momento que se conocen. Evie está deprimida por que su novio de muchos años la terminó y Drew se encuentra en un momento problemático en su carrera cuando su equipo quiere intercambiarlo por no controlar su ira.

La noche en la que se conocen Evie está borracha dejándole mensajes de voz a su ex diciéndole cuanto lo extraña y Drew la escucha y le dice lo patética que suena comienzan a discutir, Evie se retira pero él la sigue a las escaleras y termina besándole el cuello, todo esto dio como resultado que al día siguiente en los periódicos sale una noticia donde los vinculan como pareja y su manager/mejor amigo piensa que esto es una gran oportunidad para que los directivos de su equipo vena que Drew ha cambiado.

Esto les conviene tanto a Drew como a Evie, Drew aleja los pensamientos de sus directivos de querer cambiarlo y Evie viviría en la ciudad ayudando eso a mejorar su carrera y a olvidar a su ex.

El problema viene cuando dicho ex reaparece y ella tiene que verse convincentemente enamorada de Drew y, entre tanto beso, se comienzan a borrar las líneas de un contrato y dan rienda suelta a sus pasiones.

 “Diamante real, Drew… no un compromiso real. ¿Recuerdas?

ACERCA DEL LIBRO

Esta historia además de ser súuuuper candente (mis ovarios explotaron varias veces) habla sobre la confianza, como esta es tan frágil y no todo el mundo tiene la capacidad para mantenerla.

Por su parte a Evie la traiciona su novio al dejarla cuando estaban a punto de mudarse a un mejor apartamento, pero eso no la detiene en creer en la gente, en cambio Drew no confía ni en su sombra porque ha sido herido varias veces por muchas personas.

Así que cuando estos dos se unen como un equipo para sacar todo a flote, se dan cuenta que solo teniéndose confianza pueden superar todo.

Un libro muy bueno al cual no pude soltar hasta que lo acabé, le doy 4.5 candentes estrellas y muy recomendado para todas aquellas a las que les gustan los libros donde se tiene que aparentar ser pareja y las escenas candentes 😉
