Grant Hendricks es una gran llave inglesa. El cuatro veces Jugador Defensivo del Año, tres veces líder de la NFL, y como todo dios del fútbol oficialmente tocó fondo. Una lesión en la espalda devastadora significa que tendría que retirarse y eso lo asusta más que a los médicos diciéndole que el próximo golpe podría dejarlo paralizado. Todo lo que necesita es un lugar tranquilo para pensar y la casa de la playa de su compañero de equipo parece ser el lugar. El problema es que la mujer ya vive allí.

"Perfect...that's your word. You're the perfect one."

I starting this review by making clear that "slow burn" is not my thing, in reality it tends to bore me, but Mrs. Dangelico tends to do magic with it, so much that makes us wish that the tension between the characters never ends.

Amanda and Grant both with difficult pasts, doing the best with what life gave them, she for her son and he for moving away from what he believes is his destiny because of his parents. They go together in a house, a whole summer, with a child and a dog that will make everything more fun.

The first meeting is glorious, and when I say glorious is because my imagination is very good, (Grant naked, yes please). Both with the claws and defenses up, to realize that their hearts had not the slightest chance of leaving unharmed.

The constant fights, the desire to be on top of each other, but at the same time they want to bite off their heads, kept me laughing all the reading. Enemies to lovers is definitely my favorite.

I think I sealed the love with this book by seeing the way Grant behaved with Sam and Roxy, nothing speaks better about a person than the behavior towards an animal and a child that are not this own. The chemistry was beautiful and natural. I love how it's made clear that father is not the one who grows but the one who loves.

I almost died of despair for their first kiss, and for the whole development of their romance, but it was so WORTH IT.

Grant is a big "Teddy Bear" and Amanda is the perfect girl to hug him forever.

Super recommended reading, really guys is something special.

RESEÑA EN ESPAÑOL

“Perfecta...esa es tu palabra. Tú eres la perfecta.”

Comienzo ésta reseña dejando claro que el “slow burn” no es lo mío, en realidad tiende a aburrirme, pero la señora Dangelico tiende a hacer magia con ello, tanto así que nos hace desear que la tensión entre los personajes nunca acabe.

Amanda y Grant ambos con pasados difíciles, haciendo lo mejor con lo que la vida les dio, ella por su hijo y él por alejarse de lo que cree es su destino familiar.Caen juntos en una casa, todo un verano, con un niño y una perra que harán todo más divertido.

El primer encuentro es glorioso, y cuando digo glorioso es porque mi imaginación es muy buena, (Grant desnudo, sí por favor). Ambos con las garras y las defensas adelante, para darse cuenta que sus corazones no tenían ni la más mínima oportunidad de salir ilesos.

Las constantes peleas, las ganas de estar uno encima del otro. La forma en que se desean tanto pero a la vez desean arrancarse la cabeza de un mordisco me mantuvo riendo toda la lectura. Los enemigos a amantes definitivamente es mi favorito.

Creo que sellé el amor con éste libro al ver la forma en que Grant se comportaba con Sam y Roxy, nada habla mejor de una persona que su comportamiento hacia un animal y un niño que no son suyos. Su química es hermosa y natural. Me encanta como se deja en claro que padre no es el que cría sino el que ama.

Casi muero de desesperación por su primer beso, y por todo el desarrollo de su romance, pero valió tanto la pena, TANTO.

Grant si es un gran “Teddy Bear” y Amanda es la chica perfecta para abrazarlo para siempre.

Lectura super recomendada, chicos de verdad es algo especial.
