Empecemos con decir que tenemos una historia
hecha en Nueva Orleans, un lugar que ya por historia tiene ese algo que atrae
(y no hablo del Mardi
Gras para enseñar las obos 😉),
dónde los apellidos de las personas aristocráticas son lo que pesa, donde
existen tradiciones muy antiguas y que comienza con unos protagonistas muy
“disparejos”.
Beau
un
joven estudiante de una licenciatura en Leyes que proviene de una familia que
alguna vez estuvo en la aristocracia, pero gracias a los malos manejos de su
abuelo, perdieron todo y él crece como alguien de bajos recursos, por lo cual él
se esmera para hacerse un camino hacia el éxito y darle a su mamá el gusto de
volver a ser parte de la alta sociedad por lo que decide rentar un departamento
en la casa de los Leblanc para ir conociendo
a la aristocracia.
Ahí conoce a Lauren Leblanc, una adolescente que
tiene un crush con un chico rico llamado Preston, además de que en vez de ser
la típica chica rica y popular por la que todos mueren, ella es la amiga de la
chica popular, la que hace cosas que avergonzarían a cualquier adolescente,
cuando ve a Beau,
tiene un flechazo inmediato y hace de todo para que él la note, pero la
diferencia de años es mucha y él siempre mantiene su distancia. Por cuestiones
de la naturaleza, tienen que separarse y sus vidas toman rumbos distintos.
Después de diez años Lauren regresa a Nueva
Orleans, dispuesta a tomar la vida por los cuernos, tener su propia galería y
claro y si puede encontrar a Beau en el camino estaría mejor 😉,
porque ahora ella está lista, ya es un adulto maduro y tiene muchas vivencias
que cree que le han hecho hacerse fuerte… ¡Oh! Grave error, cuando ve a Beau de
nuevo, es como si regresara a su adolescencia, pero al ver que él quiere ser su
interés amoroso, ella se dispone a hacerle las cosas complicadas y no caer tan
pronto en su red.
Beau ahora ya es un hombre exitoso, pero
simplemente quiere a Lauren con él y hace todo para que eso suceda porque ¿Qué
hombre de éxito no obtiene lo que quiere?
Puedo sentirlo ahí, en medio de mis piernas.

DEL LIBRO
Este libro me hizo pasar un buen rato, la verdad
no sabía que esperar, si un Drama, un libro erótico, un romance memorable o
esto comedia romántica. Tengo que admitir que me divertí mucho con Lauren, me
identifiqué con ella en muchísimas cosas, pero sobre todo por el poder de
siempre hacer algo que la avergüence y su amor por los pastelillos (No tengo el
placer de haber probado un King Cake, pero gracias a la descripción DEBO
hacerlo *babea*)
Muy bien escrito, muy fácil de leer y sin tanto
drama.
Le doy 4-4.5/5 estrellas y no le doy las 5
estrellas porque para mi le falta algo muy importante: ¡el Epilogo! Ya no supe
que pasó con la inauguración de NOLA, como siguió su relación o como las mamás
de ambos estaban felices por verlos juntos, simplemente me faltó.
Si te gustan los libros como Wallbanger o
Tangled, este libro debe ser tu siguiente Must Read.

Let's start by saying that we have a story made in New
Orleans, a place that by history has something that attracts (and I do not
speak of Mardi Gras to flash your boobs 😉), where the surnames of
the aristocratic people are what weighs, where There are very old traditions
and that begins with very uneven protagonists.
Beau a young student of a degree in Laws that comes
from a family that was once in the aristocracy, but thanks to his grandfather's
mismanagement, they lost everything and he grows up as someone of low income,
for which he takes great care to make a way to success and give his mom the
pleasure of returning to be part of the high society so he decides to rent an
apartment in the house of the Leblanc to get to know the aristocracy.
There he meets Lauren Leblanc, a teenager who has a
crush with a rich boy named Preston, besides that instead of being the typical
rich and popular girl for whom everyone dies, she is the friend of the popular
girl, the one that does things that would embarrass any teenager, when she sees
Beau, she has an immediate crush and does everything for him to notice, but the
difference in years is big and he always keeps his distance. For reasons of
nature, they have to separate and their lives take different paths.
After ten years Lauren returns to New Orleans, ready
to take life by the horns, have her own gallery and of course and if she can
find Beau on the road all would be better 😉, because now she is
ready, she is a mature adult and she has many experiences that makes her believe
that only made her strong ... Oh! Serious mistake, when she sees Beau again, it
is as if she were going back to his adolescence, but when she sees that he
wants to be her love interest, she prepares to make things complicated for him
and not fall so soon into his web.
Beau is now a successful man, but he simply wants
Lauren with him and does everything to make that happen because what successful
man does not get what he wants?
I can feel him there between my legs.

ABOUT THE BOOK
This book made me have a good time, I really did not
know what to expect, if a Drama, an erotic book, a memorable romance or this
romantic comedy. I have to admit that I had a lot of fun with Lauren, I
identified with her in a lot of things, but above all for the power of always
doing something that embarrasses her and her love for cakes (I do not have the
pleasure of having tasted a King Cake but thanks to the description I MUST do
it * drools *)
Very well written, very easy to read and without so
much drama.
I give it 4-4.5 / 5 stars and I do not give it 5 stars
because for me it lacks something very important: The Epilogue! I did not know
what happened with the opening of NOLA, how their relationship continued or how
the moms of both were happy to see them together, I just missed it.
If you like books like Wallbanger or Tangled, this
book should be your next Must Read.
