The book starts with an Aly in
many problems, because her apartment burned and she has nowhere to live while
her business is taking off in the Hamptons. Then the mother of her childhood
nemesis tells her that our hero's summer house is free for the season and that
she can lives there without a problem. Lie. There are always problems. That's
why we read, right? ;)
Her insomnia problems lead her to
two options to beat that, Dancing or Sex ... She goes with her best friend to a
Club for the first option, but finds the second. Thinking is her lucky night.
After touches and kisses, they decide to go to the house of his sexy conquest
and oh, it's the same house where she is staying and the man of one night is
none other than Emmett who she hasn’t seen him for years. What a way to go warm
to bed.
The story goes on his way with
the development of their relationship, trying to make it clear that it is
strictly platonic, she needs to stay and he does not want to scare her away
because maybe this is the only way to have her around and gain her trust again.
Their problems of the past are
always present, to stop them, but I want to say that the chemistry of the
characters is out of this world, the author made me bite my nails waiting for
all the touches, the rubbing, the dirty words and the sighs of the
protagonists.
And the hot scenes, oh lord, more
please, that way of describing the passion between the characters, I felt I was
there next to the bed, bathroom, car, etc. It was amazing that only with his
previous game of words I needed a glass of cold water to continue reading.
Both hero and heroine have many
personal problems and secret , and put in the mix carrying unfinished family
issues, makes the trust the weakest
point the relationship, but it is beautiful to see them trying to solve
everything to being together.
Emmett makes me the
quintessential book boyfriend.
It's my first book by this author
but it will not be the last.
RESEÑA EN ESPAÑOL
En éste libro conocemos a Aly y Emmett se
conocen desde que tienen memoria porque sus padres son mejores amigos. Ellos,
no tanto.
El libro inicia con una Aly en muchos
problemas, pues su apartamento se quemó y no tiene donde vivir mientras sus
negocio está tomando vuelo en los Hamptons. Entonces la mamá de sus némesis de
infancia le dice que la casa de verano de nuestro héroe está libre por la temporada
y que viva ahí sin problema. Mentira. Siempre hay problemas. ¿Por eso leemos,
no? ;)
Sus problemas de insomnio la llevan a dos
opciones para vencerlo, Bailar o Sexo… Ella se va con su mejor amiga a un Club
por la primera opción, pero encuentra la segunda. Cree que es su noche de
suerte, después de toques y besos, hasta que deciden ir a la casa de su sexy
conquista y oh, es la misma casa en la que se queda y él hombre de una noche no
es otro que Emmett al que tiene años de sin ver. Qué forma de
irse calientes a la cama.
La historia sigue su camino con el desarrollo
de su relación, tratando de dejar claro que va a hacer estrictamente platónica,
ella necesita donde quedarse y él no quiere ahuyentarla pues quizás ésta sea la única forma de
tenerla cerca y ganarse su confianza de nuevo.
Sus problemas del pasado siempre están
presentes para frenarlos, pero quiero decir que la química de los personajes es
fuera de éste mundo, la autora me hacía morderme las uñas esperando todos los
toque, los roces, las palabras sucias y los suspiros de los protagonistas.
Y las escenas calientes, oh señor, si más por
favor, que manera de describir la pasión entres los personajes, yo me sentía
ahí junto a su cama, baño, carro, etc. Era increíblemente que sólo con su juego
previo de palabras ya necesitaba un vaso de agua fría para continuar leyendo.
Ambos tienen muchos problemas personales y
secretos, y pon en la mezcla cargar con asuntos familiares inconclusos, hace su
punto de confianza el más débil, pero es hermoso verlos tratando de resolver
todo por estar juntos.
Emmett se me hace el novio de libro por
excelencia.
Es mi primer libro de ésta autora pero no será
el último.
